My story, my why?
I have been a medical doctor for the pass eleven (11) years, which is among the highest paying professions in the world.
It has come to my realization that even though I love my profession dearly, if I should continue to rely solely on my profession as the only source of income and continue to work as physically hard as I was doing for every cent I send, I have a high probability of dying poor, leaving my kids with bills instead of a legacy(Because of the poor dad mentality I had).
Additionally being a professional; lawyer, doctor, teacher etc, please note your goodwill dies with you and rarely your family benefit from it as it is not easily transferable like a business, even if your children choose the same profession. YOUR GOODWILL IS YOU !!
So I decided to become a self-employed business owner and set up my own business (the S quadrant, what is this?) but only to realize I work twice as hard as the same staff I hired to essentially pay them for their time and the government its taxes. Some months I don’t even receive a salary after paying all my expenses, because it's just not enough.
Let me explain what i just said and you should read this slowly:
I owned my own practice -----employed staff----- when they worked eight hours daily I worked ten----my presence and effort was necessary to make all the income the practice generates------my employees payment for their time is guaranteed----mine is not and sometimes non existent(essentially I hired them, only to work harder than they did in order to pay them).
That was not the plan…..
So I have been searching for a way to leverage time and money, we all know money is important, but I don’t want to spend all my time/life working for it.
